NOTE: Our F-136 implant-grade titanium uncoated backs are suitable for fresh or healing piercings (choose plain, silver-toned titanium only) - however, we recommend visiting a local professional piercing studio to have your jewelry changed.

The standard size we sell with all our Flat Back Studs is 6mm/20 gauge, as that size fits most people for earlobe and nose piercings.

Our Flat Back Replacement Posts are perfect for when it's time to "downsize" after a fresh piercing. Most piercers use an 8mm-10mm back to allow for swelling and recommend downsizing to 6mm or 5mm once a piercing is fully healed. If you’re not sure, please refer to the chart above.

FITTING NOTES: If the earring doesn’t stay together, don’t worry! To create tension, insert the front pin halfway into its back and bend slightly. Once completely inserted into the back, the now-bent front pin should create enough tension to secure both pieces together.

Our 1-Year Limited Warranty covers defects from errors in craftsmanship and/or faulty components. It does not cover excessive wear and tear, missing earrings, or broken chains or stones due to blunt or excessive force. However, we will do our best to repair, replace or restore your piece of jewelry whenever possible.

If you purchased your jewelry from an authorized Grayling retailer, please take your piece to your retailer and they will return it to us for inspection. Otherwise, please contact us directly.

Exactly what I wanted
I got pierced at a local shop and needed to replace my flat backs. Grayling had them on offer for half of what the local shop was asking for. They work perfectly and are well crafted. I have very sensitive ears and I have had no problem with these.

Smooth and comfortable
Smooth and comfortable. Fit in my ear and was able to use the previous stud to fit into this post easily. Gold is beautiful and appears to be high quality. I sleep in these and have worn them for the past few weeks with no issues.
