If you haven't worn jewelry in a while, it may be helpful to "prep" your piercing for a few days with a stud-type earring. Our Hinged Segment Rings are made with a slightly thicker gauge of metal (18 gauge/1.02mm wire vs. 20 gauge/.81mm wire as used in a stud-type earring). This can cause irritation if you haven't worn jewelry recently or have smaller piercings. Please do not force the ring. Instead, start with a smaller piece and slowly build up. A dab of jojoba oil or water-based lube can help!

Perfect for angled piercings
I finally found the perfect earring for every piercing by Grayling! I struggled to find the perfect earrings for my bottom cartilage piercing and Grayling had amazing customer service. My forever earrings!
I have extremely sensitive ears and have never been able to find anything that didn't irritate them. I found that hoop style is best, especially since I like to leave my earrings on when I sleep and shower. I've never tried titanium before and was skeptical. When they arrived, just beautiful, lightweight, and strong. I was already wearing a pair of hoops, and they were thin and would bend if my hair or towel snagged on them. I like that these are hinged, but they were a challenge to close. Other than that, they're perfect. No irritation.
