Our Aurora Opal hinged segment rings are designed with an invisible seam, making them ideal for daith, septum, and upper helix (cartilage) piercings. With a completely smooth surface, they won't catch on or harm your delicate skin. This continuous circle opens on a hidden hinge to achieve a seamless look.

Each piece is made with solid implant-grade titanium, so it won’t rust or fade when worn in the shower or to the gym. And, like everything at Grayling, our collection of modern nose rings and studs is entirely hypoallergenic and 100% nickel-free. ⚠️ Important Sizing Notes:
This hoop is designed for FULLY HEALED CARTILAGE and will only fit in a channel pierced to accept 16G jewelry or thicker. If your channel is smaller (i.e., most ear lobes), these hoops will not slide in and may cause trauma to delicate tissue. Some people can wear 16G in their lobes, but if you have a smallish lobe piercing (or struggle with traditional stud earrings), these hoops will not fit. Please do not force the ring. Instead, start with a thinner piece of jewelry and slowly build up. A dab of jojoba oil or water-based lubricant can help while sliding in the ring.

DAITH = 10mm (model wearing 10mm)
SEPTUM = 8mm or 10mm (model wearing 8mm)
HELIX = 8mm (models wearing 8mm or 10mm)

Design Notes:
This item is designed with FRONT FACING elements. In other words, the ring has a front and a back. This works beautifully in placements such as a daith or septum, or on some upper helix (cartilage) piercings. Be aware one side is without stones, so this ring is not an optimal choice for lobes.

Perfection!
I bought this for my daith piercing and it’s literally perfect. The hinge snaps easily, threads through the piercing easily and the stones don’t bother my ear at all. I am in love with this piece and have also gotten so many compliments! I wear this 24/7 (showering, swimming, sleeping, etc) with zero issues. LOVE LOVE LOVE! !!

Gorgeous!
Easy to click open, but not so easy I feel it is gonna unlock and fall out. Comfortable to put in and click closed. Kinda tight spaces to undo, so I used a pair of tweezers to lever it open. So pretty too.
I got the 8mm gold version.
